Principal

Lord Elorm Donkor is the Principal of the BCC. Before his appointment to this role he has been in Christian ministry in Ghana, South Africa, Scotland, and now in England where he doubles up as the District Pastor of the Birmingham District of The Church of Pentecost-UK. Lord’s passion for holistic Christian ministry got him involved in church planting and community development activities in Khayelitsha Township near Cape Town, South Africa. Whilst in Scotland serving as the District Pastor of The Church of Pentecost-UK, he led the church to establish the Cathcart Road Community Awareness Project (CARCAP) a Scottish government sponsored initiative on climate change in the Mount Florida community in Glasgow. His academic qualifications include a BA in Theology from the University of Stellenbosch/ Cornerstone Christian College in South Africa, an MA in Theology (Mission Studies) from The University of Manchester, an MPhil in Theology (Pentecostal/Charismatic Studies) from the University of Birmingham and a PhD from The University of Manchester. He is married to Joyce with three lovely children and enjoys teaching, research, walking and sight-seeing and gardening.


Caleb Nyanni

Caleb is presently the senior pastor at Elim Church Sparkbrook, Birmingham (UK). He has a Master of Philosophy degree with University of Manchester UK and has recently completed a PhD research program with University of Birmingham. His main area of research is second generation Pneumatology, African Spirituality and anything involving spirits. Caleb also holds a foundation certificate in counselling with AQA and a Diploma in Film and Media Studies with Wolverhampton University. He also has a certificate in Church Leadership and Pastoral Care with the Association of Christian Counsellors. Caleb has previously worked as a High School Teaching Assistant, teacher and academic coach. He has also worked with youth cross-culturally and is a gifted worship leader, teacher and pastor. Apart from research and reading, Caleb enjoys cooking, cycling and playing football with his boys. Caleb is married to Angela and they have two boys.


Wiseborn Agyare

Wiseborn currently serves as the senior pastor of Croydon District branch of the Church of Pentecost-UK, where he oversees six local churches. Wiseborn’s academic qualifications include; Diploma in Adult Nursing; Diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing (Specialist); Certificate in Theology from Pentecost University College, Accra, Ghana; BA in Biblical and intercultural Studies from All Nations Christian College, Ware, UK; MA in Leadership with Missions from, All Nations Christian College, Ware, UK. Wiseborn is currently undertaking a doctorate degree in Missions with Chester University. Before going into full-time ministry, Wiseborn worked as an adult nurse; eye specialist nurse and military nurse. He served in the British Army with Queen Alexandria Royal Army Nursing Corp. His passion is for cross-cultural mission; multicultural church planting and leadership. Wiseborn is married to Felicia and God has blessed them with three boys and a girl.


Joyce Donkor

Joyce is a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists (MBACP) and a member of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) UK. She holds a BA degree in Christian Counselling and Christian Ministries from Cornerstone Christian College and Stellenbosch University, Cape Town in South Africa, Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from Birmingham University, UK and an MA in Psychodynamic Counselling from Newman University, Birmingham, UK. She has 14 cumulative years experience of counselling in a Community Unit, prison and at a psychology and psychotherapy service in the NHS as psychotherapist and counsellor and as a volunteer counsellor in a church context. She has offered therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples and groups, encouraging emotional and psychological well-being and spiritual growth. Her training is in the psychodynamic paradigm but she has developed skills in CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and person-centred approaches. She is married with three children. Her research interest is in the role spirituality plays in counselling and psychotherapy.


Dave Gidney

Dave Gidney has been an ordained pastor, church planter, city missionary, itinerant children’s worker, children’s minister, author and speaker. As Director of Children Worldwide, he is working to develop the role of children’s ministry within the UK and further afield. He also is part of Children Matter, a national think tank on children’s ministry. As an academic and a pastor, he has a passion for exegesis, and particularly opening up the narratives in the Bible. As author, he has written books centred on children’s ministry such as Children In the Heart of God and The Santa Claus Principle, as well as contributing to Faithfull Generation. In addition to various articles he has also written devotional readings for Daily Bread. He obtained his MPhil from the University of Glamorgan, and a BA(Hons) from the University of Kent.

Wessly’s academic qualifications include a BMin from Filadelfia Bible College, Rajasthan, an MDiv from Asian Institute of Theology, Bangalore, an MTh from South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies, Bangalor and a PhD from the University of Birmingham. He is the son of a Pentecostal Pastor from Kerala, South India. He has been actively involved in full-time Christian Ministry since 1991. Before coming to the United Kingdom, he was working in Rajasthan (North India) as a missionary pastor as well as principal lecturer in Missiology and Academic Dean at Filadelfia Bible College. It is one of the most prominent Evangelical Theological Institutes in North India. He is an accredited minister of AoG, GB. He currently serves as the Senior Minister of Birmingham Pentecostal Fellowship as well as Life Abundant Pentecostal Fellowship, Leicester. He is the author of Contextual Missiology of the Spirit (Oxford: Regnum, 2013). His research interests include Pentecostal Theology, Pentecostal History and Mission. He is married to Joyce.


Dan Yarnell

The Rev. Dan Yarnell is the National Coordinator for the Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Great Britain and Ireland as well as a senior lecturer in mission and theology at ForMission College. He is the co-author of Celebrating the Small Church; Forming Multicultural Partnerships; and Power and the Powers: the Use and Abuse of Missional Leadership. He has been involved in five church plants, and was for many years the Small Church Officer for the British Church Growth Association, developing resources to help smaller churches engage missionally in their ministry. He has also been involved in theological education for 25 years. He is married to Amy and they have two adult children and one granddaughter and live in Redditch, Worcestershire, leading a mid-week church for prodigals. Dan enjoys playing live music, watching films, Aston Villa, cricket and long walks and good food with friends.


Grace Milton

Part Time Lecturer

Grace is a Practical Theologian, having studied for her BA at the University of Exeter (UK) before obtaining her MA and PhD at the University of Birmingham (UK).  She has written on Pentecostal-Charismatic conversion and salvation, and is currently researching religious and cultural identity negotiation in Christian converts.  As well as teaching at BCC, Grace is a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Queens Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education.


Benjamin Debrah

Ben is full a time Minister with the Church of Pentecost-UK. He has previously served as the National Youth Pastor. He is a registered Pharmacist, with vast experience in policy, regulation, practice and training. Ben holds a degree in Pharmacy, a Masters degree in Applied Theology, a Masters in Pharmaceutical Services and Medicines Control, and a PhD in Pharmacy Practice.


Emmanuel Sule

Emmanuel holds a PhD from Birmingham University with particular interest in contextual biblical hermeneutics. With experience in pastoring and teaching theology in Nigeria, South Korea, USA, and England, Emmanuel is passionate about equipping emerging leaders for the contemporary church. If he is not researching for a new book, he is possibly following his dream club-Arsenal!


William Kugbeadjor

William is currently the District Pastor of the Living Spring Pentecost International Worship Centre District of the Church of Pentecost, UK, where he oversees five of the branches in South London. He holds an MA in Biblical Studies from the University of Manchester, UK and a Graduate Diploma in Theology from the Birmingham Christian College, Birmingham, UK. He also holds an MSc in Construction Project Management and a B.Eng. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Wolverhampton, UK. William is married to Josephine, with whom he has three children. He has a passion for learning and enjoys teaching and working with people to bring the best out of them. He is a worship leader and enjoys playing the piano. His academic interests include Christian holiness, spirituality, leadership and mission.


Briony Seymour

Briony came to Birmingham in 1998 to study at Birmingham Bible Institute, as it was then known, completing her degree at the renamed Birmingham Christian College in 2001. She joined the staff in 2002 and has held various administrative roles including Receptionist, Partnership Officer and Finance Officer. Before coming to Birmingham she worked for an Insurance Broker in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire. Briony is married to Chris and together they have had a wide and varied involvement in ministry including lay leadership, leading small groups, organising ‘March For Jesus’, preaching and leading worship. In her spare time she enjoys caravanning, gardening and going to the cinema.


Godfried Asante

Godfried is a result driven, highly analytical and experienced business professional with deep expertise in Team leadership, Business analysis, Benchmarking, Coaching & Mentoring, Organisation & Planning, Strategic thinking and excellent teaching & learning skills.

Godfried holds MA degree in International Business Administration, BSc Economics, and a Chartered Fellow of Chartered Management Institute. He is a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy. He was the Head of Business and Law pathway at ONCAMPUS Coventry University. He has a proven record of analysing and reviewing academic results in department and successfully developed strategies to improve results leading to year on year improvement of departmental results by achieving academic Targets in line with centre-wide improvement targets.  Godfried has enhanced the academic quality of the programmes delivered in the ONCAMPUS Coventry University through developmental lesson observations, marking standardisation and moderations. In his current capacity as the Director of Finance, Business and Operations, Godfried is responsible for leading the business, financial, and operational aspects of the college’s activities. This includes the provision of leadership for planning, obtaining, and managing the resources/budgets required to deliver the college’s operations, overseeing progress, including identifying risk areas and working through solutions.

Dr Keith Warrington

Keith is currently the founder and Director of Word and Spirit since 2013 to date. Prior to this role Keith was a Minister of Religion and church planter of the Elim Pentecostal Church from 1977 – 1983. He has undertaken the following roles:

Keith is a family man married to his wife, Judy and has a son, Luke who is married to Laura who are parents of Penny Rae and Megan Fay; They also have a daughter, Anna-Marie, who is married to Chris, who are parents of Poppy Willow, Liberty (Libby) Blossom and Phoebe Meadow.
